• New book deal!

I’m very happy to say that I have recently signed a contract with Yale University Press for a new book entitled Two Dynasties. This will tell the story of the two intertwined families who ruled France and England in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. It’s a period full of interesting characters, including some of the great ‘celebrities’ of medieval history, but also some lesser-known characters who played pivotal roles in the history of their kingdoms. There will be war and peace, battles and treaties, murders and marriages, but most of all there will be people, because this is the story of two families and their many members. To be published…
